Mediacorp Day 4 (Continued..)

reach the office, and as usual me and lay hoon sat down at the table. saw Yun Ling doing something so was thinking if i should actually approach her.. But feeling paiseh again i just sit there and slack. Hahahaha. After a while, she turned over and asked "Who is following me today ar?". Den so kinda raised my hand and she asked me to use the computer at the extreme end for a while. Lay Hoon came to join me in using the com. I was thinking what can i do using the com u see, though i can realli spend like more than 5 hours of my time at home surfing the net!. But then i find it rather inappropraite to surf my idol's web there, so i happily went to my hotmail to clear my emails slowly (there are 200++ unread emails). better clear them b4 more stack up.

on my msn and was frantically looking for ppl to chat with me. finally found mathangi to chat with me wahaha!. After a short while, suddenly yunling came over and ask me what's my name and then followed on she say "Grace, wo men zou le.." wah so fast lah. den i faster anyhow log out of my msn and email. And i feel kinda embarrassed to make her wait for me. But while waiting, she was talking to Shi Ling. the conversation goes something like this.


ShiLing: "你帶她下去make up room看你化妝啊?

Yun Ling: "對lor.. 很悶的.."

ShiLing: (turned and look at me)"那你就要帶一本雜誌下去看了..因為真的很悶的.."

Yun Ling:"可是可以看明星wor.. 但是昨天沒有明星."

ShiLing: "對lor,對lor.."

Yun Ling: "你要不要拿相機下去,或者一本autograph book 下去跟他們拿簽名?"

Hearing that, i feel like fainting and as usual i got embarrassed again and den i say "Huh!? 不用了,不用了!" waving my stupid hand frantically, den before running after yunling.


Den basically she did all the talkings and in fact actually i realli wanted to ask her a lot of things, but too paiseh to do so. Den thinking back, i realli think she spoke a lot of things regarding what she did everyday for her job, just that she spoke too fast, and my brain took quite a long time to digest what she say, so i couldn't catch much of what she said and den i dunno de i also reply "orh.. ah.." HAHas.

She brought me to the wadrobe room where she picks her clothes to wear and stuff for the 6.30pm news that day itself.. and she asked me to sit outside to wait for her. Was as usual stoning.. looking around at ppl and the environment there... Then 2 person came in (i think they came from the camera unit there where the buses are located at).. and they turns out to be Superhost Wu Luo Yi and Li Teng(dun see i everytime talk abt hongkong stuff, i know much of Singapore actor de hor!). Previously, a few days back i saw Wu Luo Yi buying food at the canteen and kinda passed by him. He looks quite like rain wor!. Anyway i just smiled at them, and they smiled back before going into the wardrobe room.

Then after quite a long while, Yun Ling came out with her top all green, even the necklace is green too? and i think (if rmb correctly), we went straight to the makeup room and she intro me the camera unit(though i did went there b4, i didn't thats the camera unit, okay that's dumb) asking if i did went there b4. I think i went there for 2 days. And then we just went straight to the make up room which is located in some short building. I was trying to catch up with her cos i think she walk to fast or maybe i am walking too slow. Haha i realli think that my speed of walking have been always among the quite fast speed.. Until the day i come to newsroom, i think i walk very slow =.=.. Once i step into the newsroom, i got a shock. Right infront of me so many MCS actors and actresses [Huang Ding rong, Lin Cui Fang(saw so many superhost sia), hong ai ling, and another actress with surname Guo.. and i think i saw jessica liu... ] sitting on the sofa right in front of me. and Once i enter, they all turn and look at me at the same time lah. Den i was rather paiseh.. it's not like my legs will go wobby when i see stars, just that suddenly so many actors appear in front of me, i also will scare 1 mah. So as usual i smile smile.. den before running for Yun Ling (cos she's like so far ahead of me le) .

Den i heard this do make up de auntie saying "Wah, 你每天帶不同的小妹妹來啊?".. den followed on the auntie came and ask "你要看電視嗎? 如果看電視就坐這裡.. 等她洗臉出來你才坐過來看她化妝.. 不然你就去sofa那裡坐" After hearing this the first thing came into my mind is "Huh?! siao ah. the sofa so many stars, i where got the cheek to go and sit there" haha. So i kept saying no need le. so i just sit there and look at them help yun ling makeup and do the hair. actually in fact quite interesting, not as boring as i thought to be, cos basically i was busy scanning the room seeing which stars came in and out and at the same time, i think seeing broadcaster doing makeup quite interesting leh. After a while got a guy came and ask me to excuse haha cos i blocking the cardboard he wanted to get the things from so i kept saying Sorry sorry.. den YunLing saw already and said "Wah..你做什麼?欺負小妹妹啊?" the guy reply saying he didn't and ask why she is so concern, i am her sister meh?.. den the conversation goes on and i dun realli catch what they talking and it ends of with the guy saying "如果她(me)真的是你的妹妹,我才沒有這麼禮貌,喊她[走開啦!]" haha find their conversation rather funny.

After that i went back to newsroom to use the com again, yunling tell me the rough procedure she have to do after she makeup. Basically they have to come out with a sentence to highlight the news for today follow on, they have to let Miss boss to have a look at the "script" before making trailer out from it. Then she say i would be able to relax for quite a long while till 4plus. That period of time while she was busy, i am feeling the most bored of all de.. i keep looking around in the newsroom, hearing the people there gossiping and then at times scanning thru my email deleting all the rubbish. read some stupid jokes and i am constantly smiling and laughing to my ownself. While playing, i actually saw li ping, the one whom i compete with for champion for that balloon thing. she was surprise that i am actually attach to the news team which is where she is working at haha.

Then after quite a long time, until abt 4.30, we went to editing room! :D yay. and yunling beginning explaining the stuff that she need to do and telling me that 4.30 is the best time to go to the editing room to find ppl edit videos cos the editors just came to work and nobody will fight with her over the editor. haha. So basically she say she have an important job for me to do while she went to VO room to record(as usual, ahah i think VO room is realli out of bounce for us?) her own voice for the trailer. then she brought me to one of the room, showed me regarding a news interviewed by shuangxi on the mooncake bigger than the face. she showed me the scenes she wan and tell me to tell the editor which scenes and stuff she wans cos it seems like the editor is a an indian so he dun understands chinese. So she brought me to another room and she introduce me to mr editor, before going to VO room and while editing they ask me which school i am from and i told them JJC. another indian guy came and ask me if i know his friend by the name of Blah blah working as a teacher in my sch. Basically i have hearing prob so i dunno who he is talking abt, so i say i nv hear of this teacher name b4. den he went on "He's a part time teacher, doing yoga.." den i was like "Huh? U mean Mr Jega? he's famous for yoga!" Then that guy went on "Ya. he's working part time in mediacorp doing translation or news reporting or smth" Den i was like Huh? haha mr jega work in mCs too?

Yunling came back with a tape and ask me to assist the editor while she go back to the newsroom to do smth. den b4 going off she asked me "after u use finish the tape u pass this to Siu Ling.." Seeing my blur look, she added "U know who is siu ling not?" hahaha. Den i replied "Er.. dunno.." hahahaha. i think its funny lah. working in the newsroom yet i noe nothing of the ppl there. Hear their name b4, see their look b4. but couldn't put their names and match it with their face u see. den yun ling was like alamak how come i dunno liddat Lols. den she say "the one sitting right opposite u 1 lor..".. Den i anyhow reply Orh. in actually fact i still dunno is who lah LOL. cos i was busy thinking the guy sitting opposite of me when i using the com this afternoon not Qi Yuan meh?. Then after doing the video, i went back to the newsroom to let the boss have a look at the video. den after that i slacked again at the table where they put a lot of food on. I tink they have mooncake or bee hoon that day. Its realli tempting sitting on the table and everyone seems to be asking me to eat if i wan to. But still i am too paiseh to eat.

Then after that its time for some broadcasting and stuff.. yunling brought me down to studio3 where i get to see how she do the news reporting for TVmobile. i sat somewhere near the table and there is this green board thing. very interesting bud too lazy to elaborate. So while waiting for the thing to start or smth she told me what are the things here and there for. and den i take the chance to clear my doubts. and it happens that her top are all green, so her body appear invisible on tv LOL. i mean as in all her clothings turn red. And then also need to off my hp. followed on yunling find that her jacket look very ugly on tv. so she was thinking of going to wadrobe to change bud not sure if she have the time. So she asked me to go back to the newsroom and tell me exactly where this brown jacket is. Den she added "有小妹妹真好!" so i ran up to the control room. when i was there haha i saw and hear the tv there yun ling was telling the ppl in the ctrl room "Xiao mei mei should know where is it rite?" Den the crew turn and look at me den i smile smile den faster run up to newsroom to get the jacket. fell down at the stair case =X whahahaha. and den i followed her instructions and realli hor the jacket is inside the center cardboard right at the extreme left. Wah realli damn gd memory leh she.

So i ran back and when i step into the studio, one crew was telling me "wow. that's fast!" den i went down to pass it to yun ling and she said "小妹妹有跑對嗎?" meaning i came back at a fast rate. den catching my breath i say yups haha. and the news start le!. Oh yah b4 that yun ling was saying yesterdae lay hoon was following her around mah. den she nv get to wear the ear piece haha and in the end yun ling macham talk to the ppl in control room macham like talking to her ownself liddat haha. So she gave 1 ear piece to me today. and the recording for tvmobile news starts. NG quite a lot of times. and after that, we went back to newsroom where i slack again. after quite a long while, after seeing i have nothing to do, the boss assigned me to do typing of script into the news production system in the com. where i have to convert those fan ti chinese words to jian ti. Surprisingly i all know leh! haha i know how to read fan ti must thanx to reading Hk news everyday u see. haha. But i missed the chance to go down with Yun Ling to see her reporting the 6.30 news becos of that stupid Ah Bian's news lah! bud i told her after i finish my work i will go down to studio 3 to see.

After the 6.30 news end, i was thinking if i should leave wor. the dao bo was asking if i was waiting for lynne. den i nodded my head thinking that i leave liddat quite inappropraite. wait for her better. But i get to see other stuffs lah like what other crews do after the news report finish. Den after a while yun ling came up and den when she saw me her first sentence was "你等我啊?". The way she asked me this quest was rather cute and funny. I nodded by head. and den i follow her back. She added "Aiyah.. 不用等我的.. 你可以回家了". Den she asked me if boss have assign me job for the next day den i say haven and so i have to go back to newsroom. Sat there while waiting for lay hoon and the other 2 guys. and actually i am waiting for boss to assign me jobs. Hahaha i refused to approach the boss lah cos she's busy with her work with other ppl. Den suddenly yun ling came over and ask me to follow her. Den she sat down at the chair in front of the boss and den she continued "來! 我幫你排隊,問老闆你明天要做什麼工作! 你看那些大人.. 這樣排隊找老闆.. 我看等一下你排隊問老闆東西會排到天亮 yea!"

That is like haha funny lah LOL. bud i thank her for helping me. and actually we realli wait quite long. she ask me to sit down. bud i refuse to lah dunno wassup with me also. den after that finally my turn, den i began signaling the other 3 to come and ask for their job too. den seeing how reluctant i was to open my mouth to speak to boss, yunling help me ask liao. Hahah. And then the boss joked that tmr we last day so we help them to keep the newsroom tidy. and actually the boss wanted to ask me to accompany someone to Chinatown buy mooncake 1 leh! aiyo bud yunling was telling her that it was better to ask a guy to go cos can help carry. So yi teng got my job! Den i was like alamaks~ haha. and i got a night time job to esplanade to film ppl playing with laterns tgt with Song Jing. Arghs feel a little bored lah cos i followed song jing again. Den we were discussing hor last day le we should take a grp photo tgt. den the boss overhear and mentioned "如果如你們想拍照就找那些人- 臉塗得花花綠綠的(pointing at yunling)". Den we kinda laughed. And yun ling asked her stuff finish den i think she going home early.

Then since both me and lay hoon followed her b4. we were thinking of taking a pic with her :)) haha cos both of us think she pretty mah hehe.. bud both of us like so shy to ask to take pic with her. In the end i finally dare to approach her heh. at first she kinda reject us saying her eyes/nose red red de and ask her to find her tmr. But thinking that she's down with a flu and may not be coming tmr, i say "later u tmr nv come then how?" den she say "No lah, i die die also must report to work de.. i won't take leave de..." After hearing that i feel a little sad, cos i think its like u are sick and yet u have to turn up for work. *Sigh its realli tough for her. Then take finish photo we bid them farewell and went home!

That day was realli a happy day and fun day for me!! hehe. :D But something i must mention, after constantly many ppl asked me my name, but they nv rmbed. even though its quite a simple name. But yun ling was exceptional, think she got good memory and den constantly calling me by my name is so much better than Xiao mei mei and got qing qie gan also mah. somehow, at times i realli dislike the word xiao mei mei though it make me feel young at heart lol but still! arghs gib me the feeling that i'm a small kid haha.
